With Angler Ally 1.0 for iOS, Boosting Fishing Success is No Fish Tale

[prMac.com] Okemos, Michigan – inyago LLC today introduces Angler Ally 1.0 for iOS, a GPS-enabled app that boosts fishing success. Users can pinpoint the locations and weather and lunar conditions of their catches with a single tap, and optionally record additional details such as weight, length, lure, bait, water conditions, and more. Users can then use this insight to maximize their success by returning to the best locations during optimal conditions. Perfect for hobbyists, competitors, or career anglers, the app is packed with features to help users catch more fish.

With Angler Ally, users can focus on fishing techniques, while this GPS-enabled app does the rest. With a wealth of comprehensive information stored in the app, users can quickly locate and revisit their best fishing spots, plot points of interest on a map, categorize them, take pictures, notes, and more. The ability to plot points of interest, such as a dock or emergency services, ensures that Angler Ally app users will never get lost out on the water and know exactly where to find help when it’s needed.

Angler Ally was designed to be clean, lean, fun to use, and effective in helping users make the most of their fishing. Using the app is simple. A GPS map allows users to drop a digital map pin, creating an accurate map point to show where the fish are biting. Moveable pins can be dragged and dropped on Standard, Satellite, or Hybrid map formats. Users designate a category for the pin – a Placemark for designating a point of interest, or a Catch marker for designating the spot where a catch was made. For a Catch, users enter information including species, culling tag (multiple colors), weight, length, unlimited photos, lure, lure color, bait, body of water and water type (automatically detected based on the location), break, cover, prevailing weather and lunar conditions (automatically entered), notes, and more. Catches may be organized by date, providing a comprehensive log of fishing events.

The app features automatic location-based weather and lunar conditions, including current weather and a 5-day forecast, temperature, high-low, barometric pressure, and lunar phase. Since phases of the moon have a direct impact on feeding activity, this data allows fishing enthusiasts to accurately predict fish activity. While other apps may simply provide information, Angler Ally allows users to log detailed information about important catches, providing a more accurate snapshot of the perfect conditions for catching specific types of fish, as well as creating a diary of fishing expeditions.

Angler Ally also features an interactive photo album where each photo can be flipped over to reveal baseball-card-like details, for anglers who like to back up their fish tales with proof. App owners can capture and store an unlimited number of images, and share photos and details of their catches, trips, and placemarks via email, SMS, Facebook, Twitter, and Sina Weibo, from within the app. Angler Ally also includes a Favorites tag for catches, trips, placemarks, and all list items (species, lures, etc.) that can be marked for quick access.
