[prMac.com] Boston, Massachusetts – There are plenty of sites where entertainment lovers can preview the best upcoming movies, music, video games and other entertainment, yet there exists no place where smartphone users can preview the best upcoming apps; that is until now.
PreApps has just officially launched their new social networking site that acts as a marketplace between app users and app developers who wish to share their apps which are coming soon to the iTunes App Store, Google Play, or the Windows App Store.
A new report from mobile analytics firm AdEven suggests that most apps that are released on the app store go unnoticed. When you consider the millions of app users in the United States and the various uses of apps from managing a diet, running a business, all the way down to monitoring diabetes, it is no wonder that finding the best apps coming soon is so relevant to our society.
End users on PreApps can view screenshots and descriptions of new apps as one would in the App Store, but with a few more features. On PreApps, you can watch a video trailer about the app, much like you would a movie trailer. You can also rate the app, share it with your friends, and sign up to be a Beta tester (at the discretion of the developer). When your favorite apps go live on the App Store, you can even have a push message sent to your phone to remind you that the app has gone live.
“Our vision for PreApps is to forever enhance the relationship between mobile app developers and mobile app users, which will in turn create better apps,” said PreApps CEO Sean Casto. “By implementing user feedback in the development process, apps have a greater chance of success and for users a more enjoyable experience.”
Apps featured on PreApps range from business, entertainment, health & fitness, social networking, utilities, food & drink, and games. The developers of those apps then have the option of offering user surveys, and even beta realease downloads to pre-opted users.
“Our collaborative process results in promoting pre-release buzz, pre-opted in user downloads, and is critical in developing user feedback,” stated Casto. “We think that this will be the new way for app users around the country to have a better mobile app experience, and to preview apps just like you would preview a movie.”
Users and developers are also encouraged to interact with PreApps on Twitter and Facebook. The launch of PreApps is being promoted with the #preappslaunch hashtag on Twitter. The official launch event will be today, January 24, 2013 from 6-8pm at Meadhall in Cambridge, MA.PreApps
