SQLabs announces SQLiteDoctor

[prMac.com] Viadana, Italy – SQLabs has announced SQLiteDoctor for Mac OS X and Windows. SQLiteDoctor is a very powerful and easy to use application developed to recover corrupted SQLite databases.

An SQLite database is highly resistant to corruption. If an application crash, or an operating-system crash, or even a power failure occurs in the middle of a transaction, the partially written transaction should be automatically rolled back the next time the database file is accessed. Though SQLite is resistant to database corruption, it is not immune and in some cases a special tool like SQLiteDoctor is required in order to be able to fully restore your damaged SQLite database.

There are several know reasons that can lead to an SQLite database corruption, some of them are:
* File overwrite by a rogue thread or process
* Continuing to use a file descriptor after it has been closed
* Backup or restore while a transaction is active
* Deleting a hot journal
* File locking problems
* Multiple copies of SQLite linked into the same application
* plus much more… all listed on the SQLabs website.

Minimum requirements:
* MacOS X 10.5 or higher
* Windows XP/Vista/7

Pricing and Availability:
A SQLiteSync single license is $49.00 (USD). Company and multiplatform licenses are also available. For more information, please visit the SQLabs website.SQLabs
