Peeple – The World’s First Caller ID System for Your Front Door

[] Austin, Texas – Building 10 Technology, Inc is proud to announce their Kickstarter campaign for Peeple: the elegant, compact, and easy-to-use caller ID for your front door. Peeple is a smart camera that attaches to existing peepholes and easily connects to home Wi-Fi to identify, inform, screen, and alert people to any outside presence. Say goodbye to the days of worrying about what time the kids got home, if the package arrived, or if there’s a potential intruder at the rental property. When the house is empty, Peeple is home.

Peeple connects to your home wifi and then sends notifications to you when someone knocks or opens the door. You can be anywhere in the world and as long as you have a mobile phone with a signal, you will receive the notification. You can open the Peeple app (free in the iOS or Android App Store) and virtually look through the peephole and see who is at your door.

“I invented Peeple after my three year old son wandered out the front door without us knowing. He was brought back home safe by a neighbor, but I realized then that our front door was a blind spot,” said Chris Chuter, co-founder of Building 10 Technology, the makers of Peeple.

Peeple is now available on Kickstarter for pledge amounts from $99 to $164 (USD). Kickstarter backers can also pledge to become field testers or get a ‘high end’ version of Peeple. The campaign has pledged $26,913 of a $50,000 goal with 43 days to go.Peeple
