[prMac.com] Birmingham, United Kingdom – Lunapip, developer of apps for Apple iPhone and iPad announces the launch of Packwood 1.0 for iPad. Packwood is fun iPad game for young children that combines elements of learning and play in the friendly, virtual land of Packwood.
The first version of the game has three locations that children can visit: The Field, The Strawberry Factory and The PlayGarden.
The field helps children understand the basic concepts of money. Packets of seeds can be purchased and planted. The child is responsible for watering the crops with the watering can until the market truck arrives. Any crops that have grown are sold and the child receives the value of the crop which is added to their virtual Packwood bank account.
The Strawberry Factory – Children practice counting and earn some coins helping farmer Plowman to count strawberries in his strawberry factory.
The Play Garden – The child can spend the Packwood coins he or she has accumulated in other locations on fun toys and objects in the Play Garden. Objects include smiling growing sunflowers, a birdbath that attracts birds, a football and a fun bubble making machine.
The land of Packwood is one which will grow over time as new locations are added. The next version of the game will feature the Packwood River Bridge where children will be able to fish in the Packwood River.
