Missile Commander – Available for Mac and iOS 12/31/13

[prMac.com] Tucson, Arizona – FOR neXtSoft announces Missile Commander a nostalgic game for iOS and Mac available New Years Eve in the Mac and iOS AppStores. Missile Commander pits you against an enemy who is bent on destroying your cities. They release an onslaught of ICBMs and Smart Bombs to take out the last remnants of humanity, which you are charged to protect.

This game threatens to nuke your time as you wax nostalgic fighting your way through infinite waves of enemy attacks.

You protect six cities with your turrets, which in turn provide resources to build rockets, enhance turrets and cities and build air bases.

Part resource management, part arcade inspired action, this game is all fun and highly addictive. In each wave the incoming missiles increase. You will also face smart bombs and enemy bombers. You need to protect the cities to collect resources which allow you to rebuild lost cities, upgrade them and your turrets, buy rockets and launch airstrikes.

Missile Commander offers Game Center integration, with sixty nine achievements spread over three difficulties. Some include such things as scoring a direct hit on an incoming missile or bomb. Taking down more than one enemy ICBM with a single rocket blast and managing to achieve higher and higher waves and lifetime hit counts.
