Mini Assassins 1.0 – Action Packed Retro Arcade Game Now Available

[] Goettingen, Germany – Haybyte Studios is proud to announce the release of Mini Assassins 1.0 for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Mini Assassins is an action-packed 8-bit arcade game that will test players’ reflexes and tactical skill as they fight against an army of zombie ninjas, knights and cursed samurais. Dodge incoming ninja stars and cut enemy arrows in midair. Tap to jump.

Aiming ninja stars is not as easy as in a twin-stick-shooter because players have to swipe in the direction that they want to throw their ninja star. Additionally, each of the 3 heroes has a skill tree from which players can have 3 skills active at the same time. Use them by dragging and dropping them on the battlefield. Skills include caltrops, grappling hook, slow-motion, meteor, trip bomb and more…

“The 8-bit style is heavily inspired by games from the NES and SNES era. It’s an arcade game with intuitive 1-finger-controls that are optimized for the touchscreen,” says developer Michael Buettner.

Play as one of 3 heroes: Akio the Ninja, Nori the Samurai, or Buchuu the Vagabond. Level up a hero to unlock his or her skill tree and gain an advantage over their enemies. Unlock up to 9 pets that fight alongside the hero. Feed the pets and care for them, they will level up and gain new skills. The game also features a local co-op mode which lets 2 players play on a single device. Reviews are overwhelmingly positive, so players should definitely go play this game.
