Kanji Assault Gives Students of Japanese a New Option

[prMac.com] Chatan, Japan – Kanji characters have long been an uphill battle for foreign residents and students of Japanese. While there is no difficulty in finding too much information with a simple Google search, many students struggle to effectively attack the mountains of knowledge. The developers at Uchinasoft accepted this challenge last summer and are now pleased to announce: Kanji Assault 1.0.

Engaging lessons and intense mini-games stress accuracy and repetition for students to quickly build speed in identifying single Kanji characters. Reaction time and responses determine the next test characters, ensuring that users are continuously challenged. Single character skills are then applied to the most commonly encountered compound Kanji in Japanese texts, signs, and newspapers. Candidates for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test will find the lesson order remarkably similar to the test structure and the four thousand vocabulary words included are covered across all levels of the exam.

Competitive students can compare and boast their best scores at different grade levels of Kanji through the Uchinasoft webserver. “A mobile platform has clearly opened new doors to learning Kanji. Some people learn best by themselves, but others need competition. We offer both choices.” says John Sheaffer when asked to explain why Uchinasoft incorporated an online component in to the application. “The goal is for Kanji masters to set the bar for speed and accuracy that new students can see and strive for.”

Finally, students have the choice of native language to learn from. Although the primary structure of the application is in English, Kanji character meanings can be tested in seven other languages including: Spanish, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, and Tagalog (Filipino).
