iScrumboard – Agile Projectmanagement 1.2 for iOS: Easy Project Planning

[] Linz, Austria – Little Chaotic Agency today introduces iScrumboard – Agile Projectmanagement 1.2 for iOS, an improved version of their project planning application. The app features a virtual task board that allows users to organize their projects by splitting them up into tasks. Each project is written on a virtual index card, and the user may then split his or her project into tasks on color-coded sticky notes. These notes may be dragged from the Todo column to the Work in Progress and then finally to the Done section when they are completed.

Feature Highlights:
* Users can plan and separate pieces of a project on different index cards
* Multiple documents possible to organize more than one project
* Simple drag and drop controls for notes
* Tap to zoom in and out
* Add, remove, or rename columns
* Add or change colors of coded sticky notes
* AirPrint capabilities
* Share screenshots on Twitter or over email
* Multiple language capabilities

The iScrumboard app consists originally of four columns. The first is the Project or Goals column; users simply drag the cards to the column and type their project description there. The next columns are the Todo, Work in Progress, and Done sections. Originally, the user may put all color-coded sticky notes with smaller tasks in the Todo column. As they begin work, users may move the notes to the Work in Progress column. Eventually, when finished, these notes will be dragged to the Done section. This allows users to see clearly their working habits. For example, if too many unfinished tasks reside in the Work in Progress column, the user may understand he or she needs to focus more energy on one specific task rather than splitting up attention among too many different ones.

Users may personalize the board by adding, deleting, or renaming columns to suit their personal project management needs. They may also change, add, or delete sticky note colors, which allows for a more visually engaging and personalized project plan. The app supports the Retina display on the new iPad, providing a clear view of the user’s workflow at all times.

Simple controls of the app make it easy and natural to use; one tap will zoom in or out on the screen. Tapping the trash icon will delete certain tasks, and the sticky notes are movable by the simple drag and drop method. The full workspace may be shared in screen shots via Twitter or email, so the user can coordinate with clients or colleagues on projects. Scrum boards may be exported or imported as XML documents, as well as printed on any AirPrint compatible printer.

iScrumboard – Agile Projectmanagement encourages the right kind of work on projects, forcing users to focus on one task at a time without being overloaded with impossible amounts of work. The clear visual representation of workflow is perfect for project managers but works as well for those who want to-do management in their personal lives.

“iScrumboard encourages good working practices,” says developer Sigurd Buchberger. “Its vivid and simple display keeps planners from feeling overwhelmed or underprepared.”
