Hindenburg 3DA 1.1 for iOS Released – 3D Virtual Reconstruction

[prMac.com] Prague, Czech Republic – Independent 3D and 2D animator, Michal Barta today is thrilled to announce the release and immediate availability of Hindenburg 3DA 1.1, an update to his educational app developed exclusively for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Welcome aboard! Just in time for the 76th Anniversary of the last flight of the Hindenburg (3-6 May 1937), Hindenburg 3DA is a 3D virtual reconstruction of the Hindenburg LZ 129 Airship. The journey continues.

LZ 129 Hindenburg (Luftschiff Zeppelin #129; Registration: D-LZ 129) was a large German commercial passenger-carrying rigid airship, the lead ship of the Hindenburg class, and the longest class of flying machine and the largest airship by envelope volume. It was designed and built by the Zeppelin Company (Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH) on the shores of Lake Constance in Friedrichshafen and was operated by the German Zeppelin Airline Company (Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei).

The airship flew from March 1936 until destroyed by fire 14 months later on May 6, 1937, at the end of the first North American transatlantic journey of its second season of service. Thirty-six people died in the accident, which occurred while landing at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in Manchester Township, New Jersey, United States. The Hindenburg was named after the late Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg (1847-1934), President of Germany (1925-1934).
