[prMac.com] Zurich, Switzerland – Blindflug Studios is thrilled to announce its update to their popular game First Strike. A nuclear armageddon is no one’s dream scenario. So choose your steps carefully, it’s a small path between war and peace. First Strike is a real-time strategy game featuring snappy gameplay and an intuitive interface that makes dropping the big one as easy as ABC. But be sure to take the right measures to guarantee your people’s safety.
Pick one of the big nuclear players – from known Superpowers to an upstart hellraiser like North Korea – and plan your strategy wisely: Limited but clever options let you as the leader of your superpower steer your nation’s fate. Expand to other countries, build bombs or debuild in order to restructure your arsenal. Or use research to widen your options, such as: ability to act quicker and build bigger bombs, better recon on your enemies actions, automated self-defense-sequences and many more.
First Strike is a ten minute, fast paced realtime strategy game. You control one of eleven nuclear superpowers on earth and have to strategically conquer, research and attack global nations while defending yourself from missile attacks. Your goal is to be the last Alliance remaining once nuclear war breaks out and the whole world is in flames.
First Strike was nominated for “Best Upcoming Game” at the 2014 IMGA and won the FWA Mobile award. With its launch for tablet devices in March, First Strike became a major strategy hit in the App Store, charting as a Top 10 Strategy game in over 50 countries worldwide now and staying in the Top 20 of the App charts for a whole week in the USA. We couldn’t have wished for a better debut for our new company.

We are Blindflug Studios from Zurich, Switzerland. We are a newly founded indie game studio from the game team of the creative agency Feinheit. Our mission is simple: We want to create beautiful, imaginative and incredibly fun games, that center around complex, real world dilemmas and through that might create interesting new game mechanics and involving settings. We believe, that games are an incredible medium of letting players experience the most complex of problems as they are playing. First Strike is our official launch title for the company and was based around this idea: beautiful to look at, custom made for the platform and a lot of fun, while playing with a topic, that is still relevant and frightening.
