Creative Pro Infinite Media Browser with Retina Support, Now on Sale

[] Zurich, Switzerland – The Raskin interface consists of one single infinite surface where users can automatically lay out their pictures, videos, or any other kind of files. The surface can then be zoomed to any level, giving either a very broad overview of available assets, or a detailed look at individual files.

A big advantage of the tool over most other asset managers is that it avoids a vendor lock-in by making use of the common file system. So, any changes made inside Raskin are reflected in the Finder.

The latest update adds full Retina display support, and, as requested by many users, the Raskin surface can now be used inside a window or full screen.

“Retina displays are a game changer when it comes to the creative industry – and with our fully scalable interface, users can take full advantage of high resolution”, says Raskin’s co-founder and UX specialists, Michael Rosewich, “in fact, we’ve been waiting for these displays ever since we first released Raskin, they are a perfect match!”

Raskin Software, a three person start-up with headquarters in Zurich, released Raskin – the productivity application – in June 2010. Raskin shows the computer’s contents on a single zoomable surface, allowing the user to visually find and organize files with the aid of spatial memory and gesture-based navigation. The innovative software is inspired by the work of Macintosh co-founder, Jef Raskin and his vision of an intuitive graphic user-interface as described in the book, “The Humane Interface”. To date, the futuristic application has been downloaded over 90’000 times and counts around 3% of Apple employees among its many fans. Copyright (C) 2012 Raskin Software. All Rights Reserved.
