Clock by Luke O’Connor now available on iPhone/iPad

[prMac.com] Leiden, Netherlands – Clock is a challenging one-button game by Luke O’Connor, and independent game developer from the UK. The game is now available on the iPhone and iPad for $0.99.

The aim of the game is simple: tap the screen to jump to the other side of the circle, avoid the red lines as they appear around the edge of the circle, and survive for as long as possible. The gameplay is easy to learn but the challenge quickly ramps up, making for a fast and engaging experience.

The game is designed with a focus on a simple core mechanic. Minimalist audio and visual design emphasise the game mechanics and responsive controls reward the precise player. The game restarts instantly upon failure, keeping the attention of the player and allowing them to get straight back into the game. The game features online score boards using GameCenter encouraging competitive play and pursuit of the high score.

The original browser version of the game, made for the Experimental Gameplay Project, received some positive attention, featuring at Babycastles Arcade in New York in 2010. Since then it has been on display at the NYU Gamecenter’s No Quarter 2011 exhibition and at the reopening of the Museum of the Moving Image.
