[prMac.com] London, United Kingdom – OnDemandWorld is pleased to announce the release of its Youth Chinese Test (YCT) apps – a series of standardized test apps designed to encourage young foreign students to learn Chinese and improve Chinese language proficiency. The YCT has been administered throughout Asia, and is gaining recognition as a formal assessment of Chinese language skills. YCT was developed by Hanban Confucius Institute – an institution affiliated to the Ministry of Education of China. YCT is the latest release from PinyinTutor, one of the leading application suites for studying Chinese as a foreign language.
The YCT series contains four apps to help students prepare for each level of the Chinese language exams. According to OnDemandWorld’s Andrew Miles, the company is committed to constantly improving the quality and accessibility of its products. Miles states that, “our collection of top-rated related apps is the best way to get started with the Chinese language quickly and easily. In addition to exam preparation, the YCT apps can be used by anyone wanting to learn basic Chinese.”
Each of the four YCT apps features a different, increasingly difficult set of Chinese words and includes the most comprehensive list of vocabulary of any Chinese learning app. Each Chinese word is provided with English translation, native speaker recording and written characters in both traditional and simplified Chinese. The apps utilize a user friendly interface and beautiful page turning effects. Key benefits include the Pinyin feature, which aids in pronunciation by allowing users to click on the Pinyin to hear the Chinese word pronounced correctly, and a study mode where students can highlight and test their memory of words. With its design and ease of use, OnDemandWorld’s YCT apps are the perfect way for young students to learn to speak Chinese. They also provide comprehensive instruction for students studying for all levels of the BCT and HSK exams.
An additional unique feature of the YCT apps is a social setting where users can share study and exam progress with friends and classmates on Facebook and Twitter. According to the series producer, Terence Lau, learning has always been a social experience. All we’ve done is to create a set of apps that helps students scale up on what they already do: chat, connect, test each other and learn as a group.
Both Android and iOS versions of YCT apps are available for download on iTunes or through the App Store in the Education category.OnDemandWorld
