Bit of Exericse 1.1 – Adds RunKeeper Support and Automates Sharing

[] Stockholm, Sweden – With the latest version of Bit of Exercise now available in the App Store, Bit of Exercise takes a huge leap forward in it’s support for sharing to social medias such as Facebook and Twitter. Version 1.1 also brings full integration with RunKeeper that allows the user to both import and export their exercises from and to the RunKeeper website.

Sharing of Completed Exercises:
The users can now automatically set up Bit of Exercise share their exercises on completion. Optionally the user can ask to be prompted before the sharing is taking place to allow them edit the message or cancel the sharing. As before the user can manually share their completed exercise from the dashboard using Facebook, Twitter, Messages or email.

Sharing During The Exercise:
For Facebook and Twitter the user can set up Bit of Exercise to automatically post custom messages during different stages of their exercise. The user can post at start and end of their exercises or sub-segments as well as when reaching their splits.

Customized Messages:
The users messages can be individually customized for each kind of sharing using the user’s custom text in combination with exercise data tokens that are replaced with actual exercise data before messages are being sent.

Runkeeper Support:
Bit of Exercise now fully integrates with the RunKeeper service, a popular website for fitness enthusiasts. The same way the user can automatically share their results to Facebook and Twitter, Bit of Exercise allows them to automatically upload their complete exercises including their routes and times to RunKeeper when ending an exercise. RunKeeper exercises can also be imported and exported from the history view.

Even if the concept of profiles has been part of Bit of Exercise from the initial version, it’s power will become more obvious for each upcoming release of Bit of Exercise. Where version 1.0 of Bit of Exercise used it mainly for the user’s announce settings, version 1.1 of Bit of Exercise expands it’s usage for the user’s sharing settings as well. Bit of Exercise allow the user to have as many profiles in each profile type as they like, and each profile will have a name assigned by the user. This allows the user to use different sharing profiles for e.g. practice vs competitions or running vs cycling.

Version 1.1 also includes some bug fixes and resolves some more issues with the iOS 6 maps. The import and export of GPX files have also been improved. We really hope our users will enjoy this new version of Bit of Exercise
