[prMac.com] Stockholm, Sweden – Last summer Bit of Exercise raised the bar for how a great exercise app for the iPhone should look and behave. Bit of Exercise finally enabled active users to fully automate their exercises with the introduction of start and end criteria. No longer did the users have to fiddle with their phones during their workouts. Bit of Exercise also brought an extreme flexibility to the creation of custom activity programs not seen before. And finally the users could immediately review their just performed exercises in the finest detail without leaving their iPhones. Overall Bit of Exercise vastly improved upon existing offerings.
In time for spring when many active people are starting to prepare for a new season of outdoor activities, the first major upgrade of Bit of Exercise was launched. During the winter, Bit of Mind has been busy preparing this major upgrade. By listening carefully to their users and reviewers, Bit of Mind pinpointed a couple of major areas in need of improvement. Bit of Exercise 2.0 introduced a much simplified app navigation and a fresh new interface. The bar has once again been raised.
Today Bit of Mind announced the release of a Lite version of Bit of Exercise to allow people to try Bit of Exercise before buying. Bit of Exercise Lite will include all the features of the full version of Bit of Exercise 2.0, but will limit the number of exercises that can be recorded.
Every Bit Of Exercise Counts:
Bit of Exercise takes outdoor activities, such as running, cycling and walking, to a new level. No longer do users have to manually keep a record over their exercise data. Instead, Bit of Exercise will handle the recording the the exercises for them, using the iPhone’s built in GPS. After completing an exercise the user will be able to review it in detail, compare it with a reference and share it with friends, all without ever leaving the iPhone.
Bit of Exercise introduces the concept of start and end criteria that fully automates the recording of exercises. No need to fiddle with the iPhone during workout. Instead the user can pocket their iPhone, take time to warm up or tie shoelaces and start at their convenience. Bit of Exercise will automatically start recording the exercise when the user leave the current location and end it upon return.
When advancing, the user will soon start to appreciate how Bit of Exercise allows combination of activities into multi-segment activity programs. This allows the creation of more complex exercises, such as interval, multi-sport and hill training programs. Start and end criteria can be setup based on locations, distances or durations for each individual segment. Combining this with the guidance from spoken announcements will give the user an amazing exercise coach in their iPhone.
After completing an exercise the user will appreciate the immediate access to the results. Graphs and maps can be zoomed, and the user can easily navigate to any location along their route for closer examination, all on their iPhone. No need to upload the exercise data to a website to properly analyze it. Neither do the user have to setup any accounts or pay any monthly fees.
The interface of Bit of Exercise is surprisingly simple considering the amount of features that it contains. Thanks to the tailor made app navigation, both new users and more advanced users will appreciate a clean interface that is efficient and fun to use.
